Farm Accident Claims Life of LIndsay Resident
On Tuesday 8/2/16 at approximately 8:30 p.m, Deputies and Investigators with the Madison county Sheriff’s Department responded to the report of a tractor roll over east of Newman Grove that involved a fatality.
According to Madison County Sheriff’s Investigator, Christian Hjorth , the tractor operated by Ronald Konz of Lindsay Nebraska had overturned into a creek in the area of 823 Rd and 538 Ave on private property while moving hay bales. When deputies arrived they discovered that Konz had died from injuries sustained in the accident. The investigation into the details of the accident continue by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Department was assisted in the investigation by members of the Platte County Sheriff’s Department, Newman Grove Police Department and the Newman Grove Fire and Rescue Department.
